In this investment case, we focus our attention on Kinross Gold Corporation (KGC), a Canadian-based senior gold leading global gold mining company. The company is clearly benefitting from the high price environment for precious metals and we expect future operating and financial results to remain strong. We also like the management focus on deleveraging and on maintaining an IG rating at each agency. Therefore, we like KGC’s bonds thanks to its relatively solid fundamentals and given the still fairly attractive spread levels on offer relative to its larger peers.
